Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 294

www.mixcloud.com/djsofabed/tvcl-294/

Good day, listeners… or should I say, travellers of the tape.
Trevor here. You’ve pressed play on another fragile spool of the Virtual Cassette Library. Twelve-track virtual cassettes that flips themselves at the halfway mark.

If you make music, or run a label, and fancy a place in the library, send your links or Bandcamp codes to trevlad@gmail.com. I read every one. Promise.
Tips and subscriptions keep the reels turning. Every little helps the library stay open after dark.
A ritual, slightly archival ambient journey through cave light, crystal devotion, and lost scrolls.
Side A opens in misfit forest worlds and frog-voiced infinity, then rises from empty Berlin-school air into Sagan-bright crystal strings, Adonia keyboards, and Pan Am polaroid ritual. Side B propagates Greek debut tones, shuffles a side-hustle co-op, unrolls Mossilon’s unfinished archive, lets sandalwood pulse over a vanished ocean, crowns a snow queen, and asks tomorrow to wait.
Overall mood: Contemplative, faintly mythic, and warmly analogue — full of restored tape, short illuminated paths, and memory that arrives as photographs. Perfect for late listening, quiet ritual, or letting the next day stay outside the room.
The shows remain free for the first week, then slip quietly into the hands of my Mixcloud subscribers, who currently have over eleven hundred other episodes waiting for them whenever the mood strikes. Subscribers receive the expanding series of 3-hour adventures titled Veil Frequencies. They also get the ever-growing advance version of the forthcoming compilation Quiet Figures.

The tape unspools its visions.

00:24:38 SpiritualsCrystal Strings
Spirituals – Crystal Strings. Pedal steel, acoustic guitar, vibraphone and voice memos stack as solitary devotionals. Sagan’s metaphor leaves the page and enters the headphones.
00:28:31 OseOrgasmachine
Ose – Orgasmachine. Hervé Picart’s Adonia sits between Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk. Rhetoric, journalism and emerging keyboards share one spatial room.

The cassette reaches its midpoint and turns.

Please leave a tip and subscribe to the Mixcloud channel every little helps.
A varied, atmospheric ambient journey blending mystical folklore, northern chill, and intimate warmth.
Side A moves from relaxing breaks and cliff-hanging tension into union commentary and mosaic beauty. Side B drifts through coastal calm, wizardly myths, hyperborean ice, sinister clouds, sunny winds, and communal glass.
Overall mood: Contemplative, mystical, and gently dynamic with a mix of dark mystery and hopeful warmth. Perfect for deep listening, nature connection, or late-night immersion.
As of now I’ll introduce Side A now and Side B in the intermission. as I’ve put a lot of love into making seamless segued mixes. The shows are free for the first week and then go to my very few Mixcloud subscribers who get to enjoy the 263 episodes as well as the 820 plus other shows whenever they like all for the price of… I actually don’t know what you can buy for 3 quid anymore. It used to be a coffee.
As a subscriber you also get access to my new series Veil Frequencies based on a fictional world I’ve created called The Resonant Veil Enclave. Each episode is around three hours and recorded from one of the floors from the 24 buildings in the veil. Mixcloud subscribers also get the ever expanding version of the upcoming compilation titled Quiet Figures.
On this episode you’ll be aurally pleasured by the collaboration of Analogue Path & channel friend Akira Film Script with the track “Lamkin” from volume two of the fantastic compilation series “The Silent Harvest” which you should really add to your collection if you haven’t already. They’re out on the Manchester based label FOLK POLICE RECORDINGS.
Then an artist that contacted me recently, fellow Irishman, Kilkenny based, Sean Grimes who goes bye the alias “NQUAUS” with the shortest track of the episode with the longest title “Rushe Cuts- NEW START- May 26- Vol. 1 – 15 – v.1.2 -Cliff Hanger” from the self released EP “Rushe Cuts vol.1 (Teaser)”.
After that Gordon Chapman-Fox an artist who is no stranger to the channel. A man with his noggin in the right place. “Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan” with the soaring track “Part of the Union” from the album “People & Industry Special Edition” with 4 bonus tracks from the 2021 original album, and you can grab that from the Castles In Space label.
This is followed by the Auckland, New Zealand artist Jim Marjoram and another piece from “The Silent Harvest Volume Two” FOLK POLICE RECORDINGS release the dark track is called “Lass of Lochroyan”.
Finishing off the first half is Berlin-based French musician arc rae and the stunning track “Mosaic” from the album “Bow and Arrow” and that’s out on long time channel supporter Las Vegas based Mystery Circles.
But first, to set the vibe is a collaboration I played on the last episode by Third Kind Records label curator Nicholas Langley together with university buddy Stephen Cousins. They are collectively known as Hz & Fisty Kendal here with the track “Relaxing Break” from the album “Now What?”
Now settle in, turn it up a bit, and let’s see where it takes us. I hope you enjoy it.
One side flip, just the music.

Welcome to the B side. Six tracks down and six to go.
Starting us off is Liverpool based artist Borchardt with the bubbling piece titled “Hanko” from the self titled, self released album and also on the outstanding periodical magazine from Wirrals finest Moolakii Club Audio Interface.
Then another artist I played on the previous episode, Bristol based HAWKSMOOR with a medieval inspired “Myrddin Wyltt” from the album “Yclept Thorn” which you can obtain via the Library Of The Occult label.
After that an album I’ve played a lot lately and one of my favourite of the year so far “Petite Constellations” by Seattle based Bluetech here with the superb track “Hyperborealis”. You can grab the album from Bluetechs Bandcamp page, also Evans own label Behind The Sky on vinyl and Ian Boddy curated DiN Records for your CD version.
Then I’ve gone back to 2017 and a track from channel friend Belial Pelegrim titled “Followed by a Sinister Cloud” from the compilation release “Do You” from the, now defunct, Mangled Music Co., who were an affiliate of Triplicate Records.
Then the penultimate piece for today comes in the form of the 2014 track “Sun wind” by Protuberance from an album I’ve also played from in the previous episode “Recollections” go and grab a name your price version on the Bulgarian Mahorka label.
Finishing us off is UK duo Suncastle & Paris Texas known as Glass Roots with the soothing piece “Now Everybody” from their 2020 Triplicate Records release “The Idiot”.
