Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 345
Another reel of the Virtual Cassette Library begins. Twelve tracks, two sides. A virtual cassette that turns itself at the halfway mark, the oxide catching just long enough to mark the seam before the second side continues.
These are not playlists. Each episode is structured as a pair of continuous sets: six tracks on each side, mixed and stitched so the joins sit almost inside the grain. The sequence is the form.

The episodes remain free for the first week. After that they move into the Mixcloud subscriber archive. Subscribers also receive Veil Frequencies, the ongoing series of three-hour transmissions—extended traversals rather than selections, moving through a curtain of sound that occasionally seems to register the listener in return.

Blue skies over golden acres, then landscapes that prefer to stay unfinished.
Side A keeps the acres already golden and the skies rather pleased about it, softens an ambient Ibiza so the trickster is slightly surprised, lets the water belong to the sky and walk itself home, remixes a shadow planet by Sam Prekop so the shadows grow longer, celebrates the dark with bats already in formation and bringing a small gift, and keeps the brook underwater and quite content while the library reads from the bottom shelf. Side B places a solaris in ethereal space that is already making room, reflects eyes that are mirrors signalling back, waters the plants with magnetic fields that are quite domestic about the dishes, turns decay into light that is still arriving, mid-turns an emu while the silence is amused, and leaves the landscapes unfinished and happier for the postponement.
Overall mood: Amused, and quietly luminous — full of pleased skies, domestic fields, and landscapes that prefer to stay open. Perfect for dusk listening, soft islands, or sitting still while the next spool still waits.
