Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 304

Good day, listeners… or should I say, travellers of the tape.
Trevor here. You’ve pressed play on another Virtual Cassette Library. Twelve-track virtual cassettes that flips themselves at the halfway mark.
If you make music, or run a label, and fancy a place in the library, send your links or Bandcamp codes to trevlad@gmail.com. I read every one. Promise.
Tips and subscriptions keep the reels turning. Every little helps the library stay open after dark.
A liquid, slightly haunted ambient journey through West Riding flocks, kudzu moonlight, and cities that refuse to end.
Side A watches the pinder keep the flock, then drifts under a kudzu moon, through solemn dreams beneath hushed currents, a Bethlehem journey, night-time puzzle sequences, and the slow pressure of mane nobiscum. Side B opens eternal cities, stirs a storm in a water-glass, presses a dystopian button, walks Verona’s water, swells with tide, and ends in soft cyber-space pulses.
Overall mood: Contemplative, damp, and quietly expansive — full of exclusive compilations, recorded liquids, and urban pull that keeps looping after the flip. Perfect for dusk listening, cassette-repeat evenings, or sitting with the water while the figures still gather.
The shows remain free for the first week, then slip quietly into the hands of my Mixcloud subscribers, who currently have over eleven hundred other episodes waiting for them whenever the mood strikes. Subscribers receive the expanding series of 3-hour adventures titled Veil Frequencies. They also get the ever-growing advance version of the forthcoming compilation Quiet Figures.
The tape unspools its visions.

00:01:18 Warmfield – The Pinder Watches the Flock
An exclusive track from my own upcoming compilation album Quiet Figures which premiers on the 26 of September. So there’s still time to goet an entry in. At the moment this is the opening track. Just because it’s that good.
Paul Broome’s parageography of the West Riding. Electronics and words. Entries still welcome until the 24th.
00:05:59 Heron & Crane – Kudzu Moon
Yet another exclusive track and the opener from the upcoming self released album “Migrations”
Celtic harp meets 80s new-age synth. Dave Gibson and Travis Kokas. Charlottesville and Columbus. Hibernator Gigs, 2 October. Antony Ryan of Pawpaw masters.
00:08:28 On Idyl – Solemn dreams diffracting beneath hushed currents
The fantstic global collective of artists known as Passed Recordings have just dropped a whopping 47 track water themed compilation. I’ll probably play most of them on the channel as I’m a sucker for recorded liquids.
Solemn dreams diffract beneath hushed currents. John Overturf of Bellingham. Passed Oceans water compilation. Forty-seven tracks. Half of sales to Doctors Without Borders.
00:11:10 EBlo – The Journey
Yet another exclusive from yet another great 13 track compilation. This time Imaginary Norths Transmission 012.

Alex Glynn. Field recordings, effected guitars, analogue synths and evolving sequences. Chihei Hatakeyama masters.
00:17:07 Heavens Spin Gray – Mane Nobiscum
The last track of Side A and new artist for me. From the self released album “Imminence”. Cheers to the artist Shawn Garvey for sending me a code for this yesterday. Sustained tones and slow pressure of arrival.
After that the cassette reaches its midpoint and flips.

00:27:23 BUNKR – Eternal Cities
Another exclusive by a good friend of the show and a contributer to my upcoming Quiet Figures compilation. From the EP “signs”. Dropping on VLSI Records on September 18. Hypnotic loops and urban pull.
00:35:16 Christian Schwöbel – Sturm im Wasserglas
Here’s another damp entry from that Passed Recordings compilation Passed Oceans.
Experimental ambient drone producer from Berlin, Germany.
00:39:20 Moonlit Workhouse/Persephonic Sprawl – The Button
From a little retro dystopian gem of a self release titled Despair/Hope EP. Which sees light of day on September 18. The artist Greg Wye sent me a physical cassette of this a couple of weeks ago and it’s been on repeat pretty much since then. Ghost voices, desolate dub, then ambient space meditation. 18 September. Persephonic Audio.
00:43:15 Celestial Echoes – Verona
More water you say? Of course. Here’s another Passed Oceans entry.
CelestialEchoes an ambient project by Morteza Jahangiri from Bielefeld, Germany
00:45:55 Jason Chaffee – Tidal Swell
The fifth exclusive of the episode and another one from that Imaginary North Transmission 012 release. Atmospheric rock toward The Weight of the Sky.

The final piece of episode 304 of Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library. Released on the Ambient Cat Label.
Soft pulses and distant echoes. Dionisaf designs the cover.
The visions complete their circle.
The oxide continues its quiet journey until the end of the spool.
Also in the works: the next compilation, Quiet Figures, release date 26 September.
Uncover the narratives whispered by the silent, ever-present figures that shadow us, through compositions that unravel their hidden mysteries.
Does that stir anything?

Today, Wednesday the 9th of September 2026 I’m in Dublin Ireland for my parents 65th wedding anniversary celebrations.
A twilight, slightly modular ambient journey through forgotten breath, moon gardens, and new constellations.
Side A opens in Zürich intimate forgetting and Berlin blue hour, then dips through Kansas-Welsh dream remix, coastal winter voices, Portland octophobic pulse, and Ostrava time-observation. Side B lifts into Amsterdam glowing trails, Bristol granular blue, a Home Normal moon garden, Melbourne tribute to Carme, a February ambient waltz, and a Preston snowflake preview.
Overall mood: Melancholic, textural, and quietly luminous — full of exclusive transmissions, tape-like processing, and small rooms opening onto larger weather. Perfect for blue hour, deep listening, or sitting still while the winter mix keeps breathing for you.
