Good day, listeners… or should I say, travellers of the tape.
Trevor here. You’ve pressed play on another Virtual Cassette Library. Twelve-track virtual cassettes that flips themselves at the halfway mark.
If you make music, or run a label, and fancy a place in the library, send your links or Bandcamp codes to trevlad@gmail.com. I read every one. Promise.
Tips and subscriptions keep the reels turning. Every little helps the library stay open after dark.
Today, Wednesday the 9th of September 2026 I’m in Dublin Ireland for my parents 65th wedding anniversary celebrations.
A twilight, slightly modular ambient journey through forgotten breath, moon gardens, and new constellations.
Side A opens in Zürich intimate forgetting and Berlin blue hour, then dips through Kansas-Welsh dream remix, coastal winter voices, Portland octophobic pulse, and Ostrava time-observation. Side B lifts into Amsterdam glowing trails, Bristol granular blue, a Home Normal moon garden, Melbourne tribute to Carme, a February ambient waltz, and a Preston snowflake preview.
Overall mood: Melancholic, textural, and quietly luminous — full of exclusive transmissions, tape-like processing, and small rooms opening onto larger weather. Perfect for blue hour, deep listening, or sitting still while the winter mix keeps breathing for you.
The shows remain free for the first week, then slip quietly into the hands of my Mixcloud subscribers, who currently have over eleven hundred other episodes waiting for them whenever the mood strikes. Subscribers receive the expanding series of 3-hour adventures titled Veil Frequencies. They also get the ever-growing advance version of the forthcoming compilation Quiet Figures.
The tape unspools its visions.

Good day, listeners… or should I say, travellers of the tape.
Trevor here. You’ve pressed play on another fragile spool of the Virtual Cassette Library. Twelve-track virtual cassettes that flips themselves at the halfway mark.

A seasonal, slightly restless ambient journey through summer heat, stored sequences, and coastal gaps.
Side A opens in Indiana solstice light and green energy, then moves through overloaded London rooms, shifting Quiet Figures, 1980s earthshine slowness, and warped inner-weather shelves. Side B holds Mediterranean headland water, rusty robot dreams, Mersey light, Tokyo sequences from some other time, a choked dub-techno pulse, and ends at Hope Gap under Ravilious colours.
Overall mood: Warm, nostalgic, and quietly unstable — full of stored time, coastal air, and communities hanging together. Perfect for late-summer listening, train windows, or sitting with what the season still holds.

00:20:56 SPTW – Shelves
