Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 301

Listen to the show via this link.

www.mixcloud.com/djsofabed/tvcl-301/

Good day, listeners… or should I say, travellers of the tape.
Trevor here. You’ve pressed play on another Virtual Cassette Library. Twelve-track virtual cassettes that flips themselves at the halfway mark.

If you make music, or run a label, and fancy a place in the library, send your links or Bandcamp codes to trevlad@gmail.com. I read every one. Promise.
Tips and subscriptions keep the reels turning. Every little helps the library stay open after dark.
Today, Wednesday the 9th of September 2026 I’m in Dublin Ireland for my parents 65th wedding anniversary celebrations.
A twilight, slightly modular ambient journey through forgotten breath, moon gardens, and new constellations.
Side A opens in Zürich intimate forgetting and Berlin blue hour, then dips through Kansas-Welsh dream remix, coastal winter voices, Portland octophobic pulse, and Ostrava time-observation. Side B lifts into Amsterdam glowing trails, Bristol granular blue, a Home Normal moon garden, Melbourne tribute to Carme, a February ambient waltz, and a Preston snowflake preview.
Overall mood: Melancholic, textural, and quietly luminous — full of exclusive transmissions, tape-like processing, and small rooms opening onto larger weather. Perfect for blue hour, deep listening, or sitting still while the winter mix keeps breathing for you.

The shows remain free for the first week, then slip quietly into the hands of my Mixcloud subscribers, who currently have over eleven hundred other episodes waiting for them whenever the mood strikes. Subscribers receive the expanding series of 3-hour adventures titled Veil Frequencies. They also get the ever-growing advance version of the forthcoming compilation Quiet Figures.

The tape unspools its visions.

Good day, listeners… or should I say, travellers of the tape.
Trevor here. You’ve pressed play on another fragile spool of the Virtual Cassette Library.

A quiet, city-tinged ambient journey through perpetual urban grids, eternal depths, and the soft machinery of passing years.
Side A locks everyday Koenji sounds into rhythm, then opens through cello harmonics, Saturn wings, impenetrable fog, Manchester distance, and autumn-orange strings. Side B settles into shed-piano birdsong, moments held in arms, calm pieces, inner recovery landscapes, laundry-line breath, and a paper machine marking quiet growth.
Overall mood: Contemplative, gently textured, and intimate — blending urban observation with personal stillness and soft analogue warmth. Perfect for focused listening, late evenings, or sitting with the ordinary as it slowly transforms.

Koenji fragments lock onto a 96 BPM grid. Nonturn – Perpetual. Traffic signals, footsteps, air conditioners and passing cars become rhythm and texture. The everyday city turns into a private miniature world of repeating surfaces.

Thirteen rises with cello and additional voices. Jupi/ter – 13 (feat. Henrik Meierkord, Sole Gipp Ossler). Tones stretch and interweave across open harmonic space.
00:15:58 Brannan LaneWings of Saturn
Wings of Saturn fold space for instantaneous travel. Brannan Lane – Wings of Saturn. Vast evolving soundscapes open for relaxation, focus and faster-than-light passage through distorted fabric.
00:18:28 Field Lines CartographerEternal Depths
Eternal depths descend in impenetrable fog. Field Lines Cartographer – Eternal Depths. Blackness holds the gaze. Helicopter noise drifts overhead while a mug shatters like a pistol shot in the eclipsed room. Secrets remain unanswered.
00:25:22 Dark Fidelity Hi FiDistance
Distance opens in colourful cascades of keys and pads. Dark Fidelity Hi Fi – Distance. Crystalline percussion and radiant bass carry melodies of love, memories and acceptance across a Manchester skyline.
00:27:59 Trem 77Autumn Orange Spectrum (Strings Mix)
Autumn orange spectrum paints with treated strings. Trem 77 – Autumn Orange Spectrum (Strings Mix). Sandpaper distortion and powdery modulated dust turn sound into tangible grain. Forms stay in perpetual transience while Henrik Meierkord’s strings leave the final auditory thought.

The cassette reaches its midpoint and turns.

00:36:34 Josaleigh PollettShed Piano, Birds
Shed piano and birds gather in Salt Lake and Osaka light. Josaleigh Pollett – Shed Piano, Birds. Voices layer across folk-tinged electronic pop. Experimentation and songwriting open spaces for the listener to enter.

00:52:22 hershelpaper machine for the passing years
A paper machine marks the passing years. hershel – paper machine for the passing years. Processed guitars, piano and cassette recordings blur into fluid forms. Small silent steps carry personal growth and quiet realisation.

Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 212

Hypnotic and dreamlike, often sitting in liminal spaces.

Good day listeners, wherever you are. Trevor here.
Welcome to episode 212 of the Virtual Cassette Library. This is a 60 minute virtual tape with a metaphysical flip at the half way mark.
This episode is based on the track “Tower of Butterflies” by Innis Chonnel & Loris S. Sarid from the album “Looking For Mount Sylvan” which dropped on the 10th of March via The 12th Isle label. Also a massive thank you to Driftworks, Lunar Module which is the CD imprint of Castles in Space, Audiobulb, Amulet of Tears, Trem 77, and Third Kind Records for sponsoring the episode with material.
This mix carries a moody, introspective, and slightly surreal nocturnal atmosphere. It moves through themes of isolation, transformation, thresholds, and fragile beauty. There’s a strong contrast between cold urban desolation and organic, fluttering delicacy — from concrete fields and body worms to towers of butterflies and sunlit solitude. The overall feeling is hypnotic and dreamlike, often sitting in liminal spaces (half-awake, melting forms, interrupted signals), with a subtle undercurrent of unease balanced by moments of quiet wonder and graceful movement.
If you make music, or are a label, and would like to be featured, send your file links or Bandcamp codes to trevlad@gmail.com. I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
So settle in, turn it up a bit, and let’s see where it takes us. I hope you enjoy it.
One side flip, just the music.

Side A
00:00:00 GhostloopConcrete fields
Bleak yet atmospheric ambient depicting empty urban sprawl. Grey, expansive drones and subtle industrial textures create a haunting sense of isolation in man-made wilderness.
00:04:30 The Green KingdomThe Owls
Mysterious, nocturnal ambient with soft, watchful tones. Gentle rustling textures and warm synths evoke hidden eyes in the dark and the quiet wisdom of the night.
00:06:37 Camp of WolvesLittle Black Eyes
Intimate, shadowy ambient with a feral edge. Delicate yet unsettling layers suggest small, gleaming eyes watching from the undergrowth—curious and slightly menacing.
00:10:33 SaïphPsyché du figurant (128)
Abstract, hypnotic ambient/electronic exploration. Minimal rhythms and fragmented textures probe the psyche of an anonymous background figure—detached and surreal.
00:13:10 Ida Urd & Ingri HøylandMelting Cubes
Fluid, dissolving ambient with geometric forms gradually breaking down. Soft, melting tones and crystalline details create a beautiful, impermanent sonic sculpture.
00:15:24 Future ChildrenNew mythology part 3
Speculative, glowing ambient weaving contemporary myths. Warm, hopeful layers and subtle narrative movement suggest emerging stories for a new generation.
00:22:18 The Black DogSleep Deprivation 39: Threshold Ov Wakefulness
Disorienting, liminal ambient from the legendary duo. Pulsing, sleep-deprived textures sit on the fragile edge between dreams and reality—tense and immersive.
00:25:53 PhexioenesystemsBody Worm
Organic, microscopic body-horror-tinged ambient. Creeping textures and intimate biological sounds evoke parasites, transformation, and internal hidden worlds.
Side B
00:30:33 Neuro… No NeuroWords On Branches
Delicate, branching ambient with organic-electronic hybridity. Gentle, tree-like structures and whispered fragments feel like thoughts growing naturally in a quiet forest.
00:34:46 Innis Chonnel & Loris S. SaridTower of Butterflies
Light, fluttering ambient full of movement and grace. Swirling, kaleidoscopic layers build an elegant, fragile tower of color and motion.
00:39:28 Loris S. SaridOne Million Streams (feat. Tony Morris)
Flowing, multi-layered ambient celebrating convergence. Rich, interwoven textures suggest countless individual streams merging into something vast and beautiful.
00:40:22 TeatreFrostbite
Cold, crystalline ambient with a biting edge. Sharp yet beautiful frozen tones capture the painful beauty and isolation of extreme chill.
00:44:01 Trem 77Glister (Overland mix)
Shimmering, overland ambient with subtle rhythmic drive. Glistening textures and wide-open movement evoke traveling across sunlit or moonlit terrain.
00:46:49 SpectricalSunlit Solitude
Warm, radiant ambient focused on peaceful isolation. Golden, glowing drones and soft reflections create a comforting sense of being alone in bright, open space.
00:53:11 Sleep ChrysalisSmoke Signal, Interupted

this is Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library. Episode one-eight-seven.

One new follower since last time. Paso stranger. cheers, mate. you’re in the club now. the one with no meetings and no rules.…

A soft hiss opens the curtain. dust motes spin in pale light. first pulse arrives like a hangover you didn’t earn.

First out f5point6 – The Second Day (Remastered).
https://f5point6.bandcamp.com/track/the-second-day-remastered
Grey dawn leaking through blinds that gave up years ago. yesterday’s coffee is a cold accusation in the mug. synths breathe slow, like fog rolling over abandoned motorways.
headphones on. let time dissolve. frequencies claim you. no refunds.…

That was ‘The Second Day (Remastered)’ – by f5point6 from the album ‘In Retrospect’ out on the See Blue Audio label.
The next artist is Ver – Combine.
https://secuenciastemporales.bandcamp.com/track/ver-combine-2
Metallic clanks fold into wet footsteps, voices smear across rusted combine blades turning in slow motion under an endless flat sky.

Yes ‘Combine’ by Ver from that ‘Commemorative Compilation’ I’ve been playing lately out on the Secuencias Temporales label.
And now Dåggěr (Szórëgg) – Telekinetic Coercion.
https://secuenciastemporales.bandcamp.com/track/d-gg-r-sz-r-gg-telekinetic-coercion
Invisible fingers press the temples, thoughts lift like iron filings toward a humming magnet, chair legs scrape backward without feet.

Crunchy, haunted vibes there with ‘Telekinetic Coercion’ by Dåggěr (Szórëgg) also from the ‘Commemorative Compilation’ release.
Dub time now, Rural District Lo-Fi Recording Project – Planning A Bootleg LP?
https://ruraldistrictlofirecordingproject.bandcamp.com/track/planning-a-bootleg-lp
Cassette deck whirs in a damp shed, pencil scratches setlists on yellowing paper, distant lawnmower drone leaks through the window like memory bleed.

Gotta love that ‘Planning A Bootleg LP?’ by Rural District Lo-Fi Recording Project from the self released album ‘Jolly Johnny and his Oompahing Oomlahs’.
Time to pull some shapes on the dance floor with Baxter Dury – Schadenfreude Ft. JGrrey
https://baxterdury.bandcamp.com/track/schadenfreude-ft-jgrrey
Cigarette cherry glows in the dark cab, someone else’s misfortune tastes sharp and sweet on the tongue, laughter curls like smoke rings.

That was ‘Schadenfreude Ft. JGrrey’ by Baxter Dury from the album ‘Allbarone’ out on Heavenly Recordings
We retire to the lounge with 36 – Echo Diffusion.
https://pitp.bandcamp.com/track/echo-diffusion
Synth notes dissolve into mist, each chord sends ripples across black water, distant towers repeat the lament softer, softer, gone.

You’ve been listening to ‘Echo Diffusion’ by 36 from the album ‘Reality Engine’ out on the Past Inside the Present label.
Now the wonderful Ann Annie – home. This is a short 2 minute outing.
https://annannie.bandcamp.com/track/home-3
Bare feet on sun-warmed floorboards, lace curtains breathe in and out, a kettle clicks off somewhere deeper in the house that still smells of yesterday’s bread.

Blissful acoustic guitar there in ‘home’ by Ann Annie from the album ‘El Prado’ available through the ’Nettwerk’ label.
Which brings us nicely to Empty House – Sea Birds
https://mcpm.bandcamp.com/track/sea-birds
Gulls wheel above peeling paint, empty rooms fill with salt wind, curtains flap like trapped wings against salt-crusted glass.

Hope you’re still with us on the planet after ’Sea Birds’ by Empty House from the album ‘MCPM018 compilation album’ out on the amazing Moolakii Club Audio Interface label.
Time to head back to the club now with Pablo Diarra – Humour noir.
https://songe-anima-records.bandcamp.com/track/humour-noir
Cigarette burns slow in ashtray, punchline lands like wet gravel, laughter echoes in an empty corridor lit only by neon bleeding through blinds.

Yes ‘Humour noir’ there by Pablo Diarra aka Saïph from the album ‘Griffe Sonam’ out on Songe Anima Records
Next up an artist I feature quite regularly James Adrian Brown – ‘Poster Child’ from the album ‘Forever Neon Lights’ out on channel champion label Castles In Space
https://jamesadrianbrown.bandcamp.com/track/poster-child
Faded gig poster curls at the edges, spotlight glare trapped in yellowing tape, young face staring back with too much certainty.
Catch you on the flip side.

B Side
Needle drops into silence, groove dust crackles, the hidden track breathes like someone left the tape running after everyone went home.
This is the legendary Deerhoof – Apple Bomb.
https://deerhoof.bandcamp.com/track/apple-bomb
Teeth sink into skin, juice sprays, frantic drums explode outward, tart sweetness turns chaotic sugar-rush panic.

Classic Deerhoof there with ‘Apple Bomb’ from the album ‘Apple O’’ available through Joyful Noise Recordings
Next we get some haunted chills via Catharæ, Trem 77 – Dreams of the Mediterranéant (Fade at Brighton Beach Mix)
https://adventurousmusic.bandcamp.com/track/dreams-of-the-mediterran-ant-fade-at-brighton-beach-mix
Waves lap shingle under sodium lamps, bougainvillea scent mixes with diesel and chips, sun-bleached dream fades into Brighton March grey.

Cheers to Trem 77 for sending me ‘Dreams of the Mediterranéant (Fade at Brighton Beach Mix)’ from the album ‘Dreams of the Méditerranéant’ out on the Adventurous Music label.
We stay in the same world now Minimal Drone GRL and Belial Pelegrim – A Remembered Land Long Forgotten
https://bricolageglasgow.bandcamp.com/track/a-remembered-land-long-forgotten
Low hum rises from cracked earth, ancient stone walls breathe dust, wind carries fragments of half-remembered songs across barren fields.

‘A Remembered Land Long Forgotten’ there by Minimal Drone GRL and Belial Pelegrim from the album ‘Movements of a Cloud’ out on the Bricolage label.
Time to get weird Keith Seatman – Another Strange Thing
https://keithseatman-cis.bandcamp.com/track/another-strange-thing
Ornate music box unwinds in attic gloom, figurine spins jerkily, something moves just beyond the torch beam.

Great work there in ‘Another Strange Thing’ by Keith Seatman from the album ‘Counting To Ten Then Back Again’ out on Castles In Space.
Next up a piece of my own as Trevlad – Furnish Rests Goggle
https://trevlad.bandcamp.com/track/furnish-rests-goggle
Old sofa sags under fairy lights, goggles fog with breath, synth arpeggios drift like cigarette smoke through thrift-shop clutter.

That was ‘Furnish Rests Goggle’ which is the What3Words geo location of a hotel I spent a few days in back in January. It’s from the album TVCL 10.
Next we go minimal and dark with Autistici – 2.25 Degrees of Internalisation
https://autistici.bandcamp.com/track/225-degrees-of-internalisation
Faint heartbeat clicks inside the skull, temperature drops 2.25°, thoughts fold inward like origami swans sinking in black ink.

You’ve been witness to ‘2.25 Degrees of Internalisation’ by Autistici from the album ‘Familiarity Unfolded’ out on the Audiobulb label.
Now to brighten things up a notch Heaven Topology – Adventure Compass
https://ingrown.bandcamp.com/track/adventure-compass
Needle quivers between impossible directions, star charts peel from damp walls, footsteps echo toward a horizon that bends upward.

Excellent ‘Adventure Compass’ by Heaven Topology from the album ‘Describer’ out on the king of listening parties Ingrown Records
I always like to add a pinch of Jazz to the episodes so here’s Robohands – Achilles
https://robohands.bandcamp.com/track/achilles
Tendon strings pluck taut, bronze dust settles on mechanical joints, slow-motion stride across cracked marble, heel exposed.

Great drumming there in ‘Achilles’ by Robohands from the album ‘Oranj’ out on Bastard Jazz Recordings
Now the longest track of this episode at just under 10 minutes. This is Never Sol – Dark Mountains, Red Dust
https://iuwerecords.bandcamp.com/track/never-sol-dark-mountains-red-dust
Boots crunch red powder, peaks swallow the sky, wind carries iron taste and distant thunder that never arrives.

What a trip in ‘Dark Mountains, Red Dust’ by Never Sol from one of the best compilations released so far this year ‘connected #3’ out on i u we records
Before we go our separate ways and the virtual tape clicks out. I just want to thank you all for taking the time to listen and I hope the journey sends you in the direction of these artists. All the links to the material are in the comments on Mixcloud, on trevor.se and on the channel substack.
To send us off Rhucle & Arbee – Plain from the album of the same name. Available on Noray Records
https://norayrecords.bandcamp.com/track/plain
Endless beige grass bends under pale sun, single power line hums, footsteps leave no trace on the flat, quiet expanse.

Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 168

15 January 2026

///saves.lend.held

Virtual mixtape radio for the sonically adventurous. 20 artists. Drops about three times a week. No schedule, just a passion for independent music.

Here is Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library – episode 168.
Here on the virtual deck tonight, another selection pulled from the shelves of the library. Electronic currents, ambient drifts, synthesizer explorations, some deep techno pulses, kosmische traces, italian library breaks, and a few passages into hauntology and experimental corners.
We begin side A.
Steve Hauschildt – Statue of Verdigris – from Aeropsia
A shimmering, verdant drift of modular synth layers from Tbilisi, Georgia that feels permanently suspended in early morning light. Available through Simul Records.
Here is 6 minutes from Awe Kid – Eve (Max Cooper Remix) – from Atomnation 2025 Compilation 2
Intricate, breathing jungle rework with crystalline rhythms and vast open skies. The first of two works from this great compilation.
Saïph – Tellurkraft – from Accentape007: Saïph – Teriak 2
Staying in the beat section we have dense, rolling dubtechno pressure from Paris, heavy with reverb tails and mineral undertones.
Let’s take it down with VVvrm – Nightwatch – from Praise the Hidden Path
Shadowy, nocturnal dungeon synth that guards the gates between worlds. Bringing us back to, or into, gaming mode.
Coming up wonderful 5/8 timings with Portland Vows – Algor – from Living Posthumously
Bleak, isolationist dark ambient from the Pacific Northwest, cold wind across abandoned concrete. On the amazing Third Kind Record label.
Short and sweet with Suncastle – Evenbloom – from Like Failing Clockwork
Gentle, nature synth drift, soft blooms unfolding across a failing, crackling, mechanical horizon. Available through Triplicate records.
Epic drones coming up from Gidge – Whiteout – from Atomnation 2025 Compilation 2
Sweeping, melodic techno from Sweden with white-noise horizons and distant emotional thunder. The second piece from this must have Atomisation release.
Bringing back some percussive elements with Monoparts – Scattered Parts – from 2025 Label Compilation mixed by Todos (A Strangely Isolated Place)
Fragmented IDM constructions, delicate and quietly chaotic.
Here comes almost 6 minutes of dub from Shadow Dancer – Bom20 – from 1997-1998 Unreleased
Raw, vintage Chicago acid lines via Manchester unearthed from the late 90s archive. Self Released.
Coming up the last entry for the A side and the most adventurous outing of the show I dare say. Just under 6 minutes from aeon – Sora (adagio for shrimps) – from the compilation Resonances from the Depths
Submerged, watery electroacoustic meditation with strange, gentle crustacean lullabies. Recorded with real live shrimps. aeon is a top friend of the channel and this is a piece from my second compilation outing available via the Trevlad Bandcamp page.
(tape slows… mechanical clunk… flip… tape leader hiss)
More atmospheres from distant places tonight – Sweden, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Norway, and even a whisper from Argentina.
Scottish artist Moray Newlands – The Recesses – another one from my own Murmurs in the Mist compilation.
Quiet, misty drone passages that linger in forgotten corridors. It’s so nice to see the artists from my releases getting airplay out there. Don’t forget to send in your entries for the upcoming Puzzles of the Psyche compilation before March 26th.
And now two minutes of bliss from Nicholas Langley – 1996 – from Entropy Soundtracks & Ambients Volume 2 (Third Kind Records)
Nostalgic 90s hauntology, crackling with the ghosts of old TV idents. If you think I’ve being playing a lot from Third Kind Records lately it’s because they sent me their entire discography. Hint hint, wink wink, say no more.
Meftah – 7 – from The Second Circle (Neroli Records)
Minimal, 7/8 timed hypnotic pulse carved from deep Parisian shadows.
The legendary Kid Spatula – Spitalfield – from Joozy (Mike Paradinas aka Mu-ziq aka Kid Spatula
Playful, skewed IDM with bright, wonky angles. and a fantastic synth bass line. Another one available through Third Kind Records.
And here’s another great bass line but from the 70s with a short one by Rocchi, Godi, Chiarosi or the Modern Sound Quartet – Confabulante – from Italian Library Breaks (Four Flies Records)
Funky, swinging library groove straight out of Milan, on another channel supporting label.
A clear nod to Kraftwerk coming now with the longest piece on the episode clocking in at 7 minutes 28 seconds from Michael Brückner – Sequential Blue – from A Sequence of Colours (Cyclical Dreams) Massive shoutout to Pablo from the label who sends me all the latest from the label.
Berlin School sequences that ripple outward in deep azure waves.
Another one on the longer side at 5:48 from Trem 77 – Aepochs – from the album of the same name.
Cosmic, expansive synthesizer music that stretches across epochs. Thank you to the artist for sending me this and for the kind words about the channel. Don’t forget to send stuff you’d like to hear me play. It doesn’t have to be your own.
And now for something completely different with some short exclusive soul vibes from Norwegian Les Imprimés – Next Summer – from Fading Forward
Warm, sweet soul with gentle indie touches, looking toward brighter days. Coming soon on Big Crown Records and Colemine Records.
Al Lover Meets Cairo Liberation Front – Level 5 – from Nymphaea Caerulea
Psychedelic dub ritual, heavy percussion meeting ancient plant visions. Out on the amazing Gothenburg Sweden based label Höga Nord Rekords.
Now to end episode 168 of The Virtual Cassette Library I bring you some haunted piano from Swoop and Cross – Elco eda – from On the Grounds of Indecency (Perceptual Tapes)
Strange, off-kilter experimental soundscape with hidden narratives.

And that concludes episode 168. Thanks for staying with the tape right to the end. Until the next flip. Cheerio…

Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 155

13 December 2025

///ducks.file.likewise

“Greetings all. Episode one-five-five of the Virtual Cassette Library. Subtitled Ducks File Likewise. That’s the track you hear underneath, and it’s also a location you can find on a map. I filmed it—it’s up on YouTube if you’re curious.
I’m your host Trevor, presenting you with ninety minutes, two virtual sides, fifteen tracks each. You’ll hear Suncastle, Gelbart, Aythar, Prairiewolf, and deepspace. Loula Yorke, Barker, and Michael Brückner drift into kosmische and ambient zones, while Strangebird~Sounds, Orfin, and Multiplex carry us into the B side. Later, Rodrigo Passannanti, Ben Holton, and Shugorei appear alongside Stone Anthem and Exit Chamber. All woven into the resonance of the library.
This episode also marks one year since the passing of Arni Gretar also known as Futuregrapher. His track Bryndís is included here as a tribute, a reminder of his spirit and the Icelandic currents he brought into electronic music.
Labels orbiting here include Imaginary North, Projekt, Mahorka, Third Kind Records, and Cyclical Dreams. Styles range from ambient and drone to kosmische, experimental electronics, and hauntological textures. These transmissions stretch across places—Berlin, Toronto, Reykjavik, Brighton, and Buenos Aires.
Thanks to everyone who joined us on the Listening party last night for the Resonances from the Depths compilation. What an amazing bunch you are.
The eighth TVCL album is on Bandcamp for pre‑order—it drops when we hit sixteen tracks. Every comment, every like, every subscription keeps the frequencies flowing. So—headphones on, let time dissolve, and let the music claim you.

Trevor’s Virtual Cassette Library 094

Collision Spell.

Trevor here, transmitting from home base Sollentuna, Sweden. This is your gateway to another immersive expedition through sound—Trevor’s Virtual Cassette Library 094 A 90-minute journey with a metaphysical flip at the halfway mark—perfect for a long walk, a mental wander, or a quiet moment alone with the universe. Today’s flight is sponsored by the labels that keep our circuits humming: whitelabrecs, Mahorka, Ingrown Records, Adventurous Music, and, oscarson.

Artists on the show who have sent me material: Trem 77, and, The British Stereo Collective.

Special thanks to Free Album Codes—always fueling the episodes with Bandcamp gems. 🙏

Also shout outs to, aeon music, Max Williams, and Fonodroom, for the follows, likes and comments.

Today’s episode includes two exclusive tracks from upcoming releases. On the A side the track The Fifth Compass Point Dub from the single The Fifth Compass Point by Bristol outfit Trem 77. Inspired by the concept of the fifth compass point. An idea beyond directional coordinates. Through the center point of the compass rose runs an axis that can be imagined as an array of transecting lines running through that point. More than a center point, it is an intersection that could include time running forward and backward in all directions away from the two dimensional compass plane. In this sense, it might be the truest symbol of the here and now. Is it the heart center, a jumping off point for experiencing all that there is, or both simultaneously?
The B side features an upcoming release from the Italian composer and multi instrumentalist Bruno Bavota. Here with the track, when we collide, from the album, I’m losing you, which will be released on German label oscarson on September 19. The
record showcases Bruno’s signature combination of acoustic piano and subtle electronics, now
enriched with expressive string arrangements performed by violinist Laura Masotto.
The album is a meditation on loss in its many forms — from absence and nostalgia to quiet
acceptance. Through looping piano motifs, gently pulsing electronics, and emotionally resonant
strings, I’m Losing You invites listeners into a vulnerable, immersive world of sound and feeling.
With this release, Bavota further refines his neoclassical voice, offering a moving and cinematic
work that speaks to both personal emotion and universal experience.

I won’t be commenting between the tracks. You can do that on the time line. Don’t be shy.
