“Greetings all. Episode one-five-two of the Virtual Cassette Library. Subtitled Tactical Flagged Happen. That’s the track you hear underneath, and it’s also a location you can find on a map. I filmed it—it’s up on YouTube if you’re curious.
I’m Trevor. Ninety minutes, two virtual sides, fifteen tracks each. In this episode you’ll hear Dude, Finn Rees, Cognition Delay on Mahorka, elders from Driftworks, and Warmth on Archives. Later, The Black Dog, Hélène Vogelsinger, Sven Wunder, and my own track Plank Glides Enigma drift through the mix. Everyday Dust, Ndorfik, and Gollden on Imaginary North carry us into the B side.

The album, Umbral, inhabits that in-between space, that threshold: where what we feel and what we do don’t fully align, where what once felt steady begins to tremble. The release will be accompanied by an 8-part film, with each chapter conceptually interpreting one of the album’s tracks. Together, all eight chapters form a visual entity that shares the name Umbral. The film is directed by filmmaker and artist Héctor Ayuso.
