Good day listeners, wherever you are. Trevor here. Welcome to the Virtual Cassette Library. Episode 269. A 12 track virtual tape with a metaphysical flip at the half way mark. If you make music, or are a label, and would like to be featured, send your file links or Bandcamp codes to trevlad@gmail.com. I’d love to hear what you’re working on. Please leave a tip and subscribe to the Mixcloud channel every little helps. A quiet, transitional ambient journey through seasonal shifts, emerging light, and peaceful valleys. Side A drifts between seasons, vast multitudes, falling chimes, and tape endings. Side B settles into valleys of peace, soft flocks, watchful ravens, precise night hours, fleeting warmth, and ends on a lonely dirt road. Overall mood: Contemplative, gentle, and slightly melancholic — full of soft transitions and quiet spaces. Perfect for deep listening, meditation, or peaceful solitude. I’ll introduce Side A now and Side B in the intermission. The shows are free for the first week and then go to my very few Mixcloud subscribers who get to enjoy the 1 094 other shows whenever they like. As a subscriber you also get access to my new series Veil Frequencies based on a fictional world I’ve created called The Resonant Veil Enclave. Each episode is around three hours and recorded from one of the floors of the 24 buildings in the veil. You can read about it on my Substack page. Mixcloud subscribers also get the ever expanding version of the upcoming compilation titled Quiet Figures.
On this TVCL episode you’ll be aurally pleasured by French composer Thomas Méreur under the name Heÿkla and the soothing drones of the track titled “There Might Be Millions Of Them” from the album “Echoes of Loneliness” out on the Driftworks label. This is followed by a show exclusive cosmic floating track from maps and diagrams titled “tonal fall-Chime 2.0 [fragmnt]” from the upcoming release “beneath still stars“ dropping August 7 on the handstitched* label. Then, Bristol’s finest, Jon Worsley, aka, Jilk and the textured atmospherics of the track “End Of Tape” from the album “Tetsuo II” out on Champion of Glasgow label Bricolage. The penultimate track of the first side of the virtual cassette is by Manchester based artist Barry Smethurst aka Apta and a live take of his track “Emerge” from the 2025 release “Live @ Aviva Studios Manchester. 04/12/25” This track contains the only vocals on this episode, nice one Barry. Finishing off the first half, friend of the airwaves, Cadis, Spain based, David Cordero and suspended atmospheres in the track titled “Segunda Linea” (Second Line) from the 2025 album “Numen” which means Divine Power in Latin. But first, to set the vibe is the artist who got himself on this episode a few times by being super prolific, sending me material, and also by doing a collaboration with UK based artist Ian Hawgood, who mastered the previous played track and album. This is the blissful waves of Ian Hawgood & David Cordero in the piece “Between Seasons” from the album “Shifting Times” which is out on Davids’ own label Noray Records. Now settle in, turn it up a bit, and let’s see where it takes us. I hope you enjoy it. One side flip, just the music.
Welcome sonic travellers to the B side. Six tracks down and six to go. You’ll hear the unmistakble sound of Jogging House in his track “Flock” from the 2025 album “Kiosk” out on artist currated super label Seil Records. This is followed by Michael Cottone better known as The Green Kingdom and the guitar based ambient piece Raven from his stunning new release titled “Vespera” which means Evening in Esperanto. Thats out on a label that’s heavily on rotation here at the enclave. Whitelabrecs. After that another live take this time by synth wizard Martin Stürtzer in the longest track of the episode clocking in at 21 minutes the space adventure piece “22:27” from the album “Dyson Sphere Beta“. A three hour live improvisation for Martins Birthday stream from 2025. Then the penultimate track for today comes in the form of another Noray Records release from the compilation album “Aunque llegue la mañana · Refracted” (Even If Morning Comes) where 11 artists reinterprete the album by Raúl Cantizano & David Cordero this is the piece “Fugaz” (Fleeting) by Agustín Mena aka Warmth. Finishing us off is San Diego, California based Phil Geraldi and the multilinear track “Lifeless Down a Dirt Road” from his vinyl debut album “Rural Deceased Undiscovered” out on Not Not Fun Records. But first, a track from 2018 by Bali, Indonesia based artist Blank Embrace and the vaporscape tones of the track “Valley of Peace” from the album “Ascension” out on the Kaiseki Digital label. Enjoy…

Welcome to Trevor’s Virtual Cassette Library episode 102 A 90-minute journey with a metaphysical flip at the halfway mark—perfect for a long walk, a mental wander, or a quiet moment alone with the universe. Today’s flight is partially sponsored by these generous labels: Astra Solaria Recordings, Castles In Space, ARCHIVES, Error Prone Records, Moniker Eggplant, Sonor Music Editions, Bricolage, rohs! records, Mystery Circles,
As well as these artists who have sent me material: Augen, The Green Kingdom, Phil Dodds from Allmanna Town.
Much love to my Co-Host the poet, the Psychonaut, Nanogod, for his visualisations of what’s going on during the episodes.
Special thanks to Free Album Codes—always fueling the episodes with Bandcamp gems. 🙏
Also shout outs to, aeon_music, and Ottervision, for the follows, likes and comments.
At least two of the tracks contain the Bucla Music Easel.
The A side contains “On The Waves Of Neptune” an exclusive from the album “Where Trees Go To Die” the latest offering from Stone Anthem, a hallucinatory journey through ambient textures, dense organic drones, and otherworldly frequencies. Layering field recordings, modular synthesis, and hushed vocals, the album was created in an attempt to maximise immersion and create a sonic field of bliss, a slow-evolving soundscape where perception bends and time dissolves. The album’s initial blueprint was created in a quiet hamlet in the Spanish mountains in 2023 with very little equipment. So the scenery of forests and mountains were a great influence on the album’s development. This is also from where all of the field recordings on the album were sourced.
Castles in Space is delighted to be working with this charismatic, vibrant and super-talented young artist. He’s just turned 18.
The B side contains an exclusive by colab who I know nothing about and I don’t believe are the Georgian Hard techno outfit. The track here, Troubled appears on the Bricolage labels 27 track compilation album X celebrating their 10th year of magical releases. It’s a ‘who’s who’ of the label past, present and future. Do check it out. Links to everything played are in the show notes and in the comments.
I won’t be commenting between the tracks. You can join nanogods poetic visualisations on the time line. Don’t be shy.
Do you want to be part of future transmissions? Send your art to: trevlad@gmail.com Purchase paths are always illuminated at trevor.se and marked at the top of each episode.
Now, Prepare for immersion. Secure those headphones. Let time dissolve, and let the frequencies claim you. 🚀✨
