Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 338

Hello there, listeners. It’s me. Trevor.
You’ve pressed play on another Virtual Cassette Library. Twelve tracks. Two sides. A little plastic ghost that flips itself at the halfway mark, like a polite pancake.
If you make music, or you run a label, or you simply own a shed full of strange noises and would like them filed somewhere warm, send your links or Bandcamp codes to trevlad@gmail.com. I read every one. Promise.
The shows stay free for the first week. After that they slip quietly into the hands of my Mixcloud subscribers. Subscribers also receive the expanding series of three-hour adventures titled Veil Frequencies, which is less a mixtape and more a long walk through a curtain that may be sentient.
Now. Each of these episodes is a two-part outing, just like the classic cassette. Unlike mixtapes or playlists, these two sides are curated as proper DJ sets, six tracks segued into one continuous mix, stitched together so carefully you can barely see the thread.
I hope you enjoy the adventure. Mind the flip.
A moon and her sisters in the retort, then a hop that is already well.
Side A keeps the moons already in the flask while the gold forms, holds home at a gentle distance with something greater already walking beside you, lets everything shine from within with the glow still in the grain, sighs a heart across the galaxy while despair and hope share the EP, leaves the plea soft after the kilometre is walked, and warms an egg in the suburbs with the hedge already quiet. Side B takes one small step with the boot already on the surface, opens the code in the swirl so it can read itself, populates a soft suburb with eleven marble dogs, lets the river know the way so you may follow, leaves a lost city still waiting in the hidden kingdoms, and lands the hop already well with the mezze on the table.
Overall mood: Luminous, and quietly kind — full of warm shells, open ciphers, and tables already set. Perfect for dusk listening, soft suburbs, or sitting still while the next spool still waits.

Crystals from an inner world, then business that prefers the porch.
Side A lets the visitor already inside sing through the facets, keeps a Norfolk village on the shingle with the sea still close enough to hear, sits a denizen at the last stop of the line, pots anise and gamma in a grass-roots zen, lets the houseplant keep its own water on the windowsill, and clears a shelf for a zen small enough to fit. Side B softens the second dawn from the nights, rules a summer by herbs with the king still on the sill, drifts slowly for the people who keep the planes flying, holds an angle sharp in the sprawl, files only days and memories with the dialect still in the grain, and keeps the appointment on a porch where the piano is already in the wood.
Overall mood: Domestic, and quietly luminous — full of windowsills, last stops, and porches that have already sat down. Perfect for dusk listening, village stations, or sitting still while the next spool still waits.

Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 149
1 December 2025

Evening all. Episode one-four-nine of the Virtual Cassette Library. Subtitled Window Invented Drain. That’s the track you can hear underneath, and it’s also a location you can find on a map. I filmed it—it’s up on YouTube if you’re curious.
I’m Trevor. Ninety minutes here, two virtual sides, forty-five minutes each. Fifteen tracks per set. No chatter, no interruptions. The music rolls on like a festival stage that turns—one act fading, another coming into view.
Tonight you’ll hear an exclusive from Paul Beaudoin with Ümlaut. Also music from Bruno Bavota, Wil Bolton, and a track that has disappeared from a release by The Form Group. Later on, another exclusive from Foster Neville. Rival Consoles, Erik Wøllo, and dogs versus shadows are in the mix. Plus a track by zerosummer which I can’t seem to locate—drop a comment if you know. Labels like whitelabrecs, Mahorka, and Third Kind Records are part of the current orbit, each one feeding into this library of sound.
If you’d like to be part of these missions, send your work to trevlad@gmail.com. Track links are at trevor.se, and marked in the Mixcloud timeline. The eighth TVCL album is on Bandcamp for pre-order—it drops when we hit sixteen tracks. The second compilation, Resonances from the Depths, is under construction—get involved, send in your damp entries.
Every comment, every like, every subscription keeps the frequencies flowing. So—headphones on, let time dissolve, and let the music claim you.
