www.mixcloud.com/djsofabed/tvcl-268/

Good day listeners, wherever you are. Trevor here.
Welcome to the Virtual Cassette Library. Episode 268. A 12 track virtual tape with a metaphysical flip at the half way mark.
If you make music, or are a label, and would like to be featured, send your file links or Bandcamp codes to trevlad@gmail.com. I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
Please leave a tip and subscribe to the Mixcloud channel every little helps.
A reflective, slightly dark ambient journey through memory, menace, quantum subtlety, and quiet acceptance.
Side A moves from flaming intensity and small-room nostalgia into protective shielding, occult precision, and wave-function deviations. Side B drifts through mossy mind-fog, returning places, hauntological guidance, Moog meadows, and ends on accepted suffering and powerlessness.
Overall mood: Contemplative, melancholic, and atmospheric — blending intimate warmth with subtle darkness and philosophical calm. Ideal for deep listening, late-night reflection, or quiet immersion.
I’ll introduce Side A now and Side B in the intermission. The shows are free for the first week and then go to my very few Mixcloud subscribers who get to enjoy the 1 093 other shows whenever they like.
As a subscriber you also get access to my new series Veil Frequencies based on a fictional world I’ve created called The Resonant Veil Enclave. Each episode is around three hours and recorded from one of the floors of the 24 buildings in the veil. You can read about it on my Substack page. Mixcloud subscribers also get the ever expanding version of the upcoming compilation titled Quiet Figures.

On this TVCL episode you’ll be aurally pleasured by James Bernard with the title track from his album “In A Small Room, Decades Ago” a love letter to the magical 90s. Grab a CD copy from the Past Inside the Present label.
This is followed by the shortest piece of the episode by Glass Roots and the 44 second gem “Merchant of Menace” from the 2020 nyp album “The Idiot” out on Triplicate Records.
Then a super exclusive from fellow Irishman Peter Fitzpatrick aka Circuit3 and the beautiful retro synth piece “Shielding From The Past” from the album “Metanoia: Music From Therapy” which can be pre ordered from the artists Bandcamp page and will also be released on the Mortality Tables label on the 14th of August.
The penultimate track of the first side of the virtual cassette is by the amazing James McKeown aka Hawksmoor with another track from his latest medieval inspired outing “Yclept Thorn” this time with the chilled piece “Ockham”. Out on the Library Of The Occult label.
Finishing off the first half, Fraser Rowan aka Ty Lumnus and his mind altering modular track “Deviations in the Wave Function” from his latest release titled “Resonances in the Hidden Field” which you can get a cassette version of through the Astral Discs label.

Now settle in, turn it up a bit, and let’s see where it takes us. I hope you enjoy it.
One side flip, just the music.

Welcome sonic travellers to the B side. Six tracks down and six to go.
You’ll hear a gem from the 1978 album “Adonia” by Hervé Picart aka Ose and the synth dreamy track “Retour sur Adonia”. Get your CD or vinyl copy from the Bureau B label.
This is followed by another Belbury Poly track who I played in the previous episode. Here with “Your Way Today” from the wonderful album “The Owl’s Map.” Now available on Belbury Polys Bandcamp page.
After that Shropshire based Tom Kennedy aka Swansither and the pulsing “Moog Meadows” from another compilation you should have “Undulating Waters 10” the final release by the legendary Woodford Halse label.

Good day listeners, wherever you are. Trevor here.
Welcome to the Virtual Cassette Library. Episode 261.
A dreamy, exploratory, and atmospheric ambient journey blending mystical electronics, Nordic cool, quirky whimsy, and celestial inheritance.

Overall mood: Contemplative, whimsical, and wondrous with a blend of warmth, mystery, and quiet beauty. Perfect for deep listening, nature connection, or late-night immersion.
I’ve gone back to doing more podcast style episodes but I’ll do all the talking now in the intro as I’ve put a lot of love into making seamless segued mixes. There is just one break halfway through the episode to give the “virtual cassette” title a meaning. The shows are free for the first week and then go to my very few subscribers who get to enjoy the 261 episodes plus the 823 other shows whenever they like all for the price of… I actually don’t know what you can buy for 3 quid. Starting off Side B in Berlin school style with Leeds based Tim Stebbing and the track “The Adventure” taken from the “CYCLICAL MAGAZINE 21” EP out on my wonderful friends at Cyclical Dreams.
Followed by a character that’s very active on the scene Michael Evill aka Shambolic and here as The Music Liberation Front Sweden with the wonderfully hopeful track titled “Anyone Can Play The Flugelhorn Outside My Window” from his “Lost Hope Society” album released on Subexotic Records.
Then a piece by myself titled “Visit Impressing Backup” which is where the cover art for this piece is. Created by my friend Ylva Magnusson. It’s from the album “”TVCL 10”.
After that Daniel Avramescu together with Feast of Starlight. A mysterious cloud hovers over all the artists that appear on the label The Dream Journal Institute. All of which seem to be fictional (correct me if I’m wrong) this piece is titled “The Inheritor” and is from the release “The Cosmic Mystery Play”
Then the penultimate piece for today comes in the form of a Castles in Space sister label Lunar Module release from Phexioenesystems and their stunning floating piece titled “Hypothetical Colours” from the album “Patterns in Condensate”

Trev’s Virtual Cassette Library 124

1 October 2025

///revival.brightly.debating.

Welcome, sonic wanderers. You’ve arrived at the coordinates ///revival.brightly.debating—Episode 124 of The Virtual Cassette Library. A title, a signal, a portal. Drop it into What3Words and you’ll locate the visual echo of this transmission.
The track you’re hearing—“Revival Brightly Debating”—isn’t just the name of the episode. It’s the pulse beneath my voice, the gravitational center of today’s journey. Available for pre-order on Bandcamp, already whispering through YouTube, it sets the tone for what’s to come.
Today’s mix is a 90-minute drift through curated frequencies—designed for walking meditations, mental meanderings, and quiet communion with the cosmos. No commentary. No interruptions. Just pure sonic immersion.
🌀 Side A opens with Eje Eje’s “Oyun Çorbasi,” Warmfield’s “On Fresh Air,” and Ben Holton’s “The Silken Way.” Swoop and Cross bring us into an “Old Kind World,” before I land us in “Landed Embraced Deaf.” Ranga, Akira Film Script, and blochemy shape the middle arc, while The Green Kingdom and d’Voxx close the side with crystalline textures and modular echoes.
🌊 Side B flips the signal with Autistici & Russ Young’s “Dissolved In Light,” Barker’s “Stochastic Drift,” and KATE NV’s instrumental “Telefon.” autumna, Fred Thomas, and BVSMV stretch the spectrum, while Perry Frank and o[rlawren] bring us skyward and inward. Dolly Dolly & Fogroom, weareforests, Ida Urd & Ingri Høyland, and Philippe Neau guide us gently to the final fade.
💌 Want to be part of the transmission? Send your art to trevlad@gmail.com. Purchase paths are always illuminated at trevor.se and marked in each episode’s Mixcloud timeline.
🎶 Support the signal: Pre-order the 6th TVCL album on Bandcamp. It drops when we hit 16 tracks. Subscribe for just $3/month and unlock 851 archived shows—over 1,200 hours of sonic exploration.
🧙‍♂️ Shout out to Nanogod, whose alchemical words add dimension to the Mixcloud timeline. Every comment, every like, every vibration helps keep the channel alive.
🚀 So now—secure those headphones. Let time dissolve. Let the frequencies claim you.

Trevor’s Virtual Cassette Library 066

Hypnotic Patterns.

🌌 Welcome. I’m Trevor, your host on this sonic voyage, broadcasting from All Tunes On Studios in Sollentuna, Sweden. You’ve arrived at the Virtual Cassette Library—a series of 90-minute expeditions with two sides, punctuated by a transition at the midpoint. Perfect for wandering, reflecting, and knowing just when to turn homeward.
🔮 Today’s journey is partially sponsored by visionary labels: Four Flies Records, Third Kind Records, Mahorka, Downstream Records, Woodford Halse, Owl Totem Recordings, Sonor Music Editions, Ingrown Records, Moolakii Club Audio Interface, and, Old Technology. 🚀 Our sponsoring artist bringing transmissions to life: Anita Tatlow, Time Rival, HDRF.

Today’s show features 3 exclusive tracks. On the A Side, Derbyshire based, Miles Newbold, who I believe is all of, The Natural Yogurt Band, and the track, Hear Me Calling, from the album, PARASOL. Dropping on Rome Italy label, Sonor Music Editions on June 13. Pre orders available for digital and vinyl. On the B side, The Shropshire duo that now is a trio, comprised of, synths player Chris Cordwell and percussionist Nick Raybould, and now songwriter and vocalist Peter Gelf. They are Thought Bubble, here with the track, Three Apples, from the album, Mostly True. Dropping on Moolakii Club Audio Interface on June 25. Be sure to grab one of the 25 copies of the super limited vinyl. Also on the B Side the next release from the Old Technology label comes from Bea Brennan, and the track, Stepping Rotations, from the album, Trances People Live. It was supposed to be released on June 6 but I’ve seen no sign of it.

Special thanks to the force ensuring chosen frequencies find their way here—✨ Free Album Codes.
